To anyone who enjoys mystery and crime stories, the name Agatha Christie is a legend. The author produced at least 80 mysteries and her success has led to multiple film adaptations. Furthermore, her two infamous detectives (Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot) continue to capture large audiences. As avid mystery readers, we can’t allow such a legend to go unmentioned. The man behind Sherlock Holmes

Arthur Conan Doyle was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. While you may know him for the infamous adventures of Sherlock Holmes, he wasn’t just a famous author.Doyle’s main course of study was medicine; In-fact, the future author’s medicinal pursuits took him to the University of Edinburgh. After school, Doyle would open multiple practices. Both establishments were opened in 1882, but the first partnership went badly, and Doyle moved to Portsmouth and started a practice of his own.
